Car Care Clinic

Advanced Transmission holds a bi-annual car care clinic in conjunction with the National Car Care awareness months, April & October. These clinics are held for the benefit of the motoring public by providing important information about an individual’s specific vehicle by answering questions and teaching the importance of vehicle maintenance. If you would like to participate in our Car Care Clinic please follow us on facebook for specific dates annually or call us (251) 626-6061.

Advanced Transmission covers the steps required for Boy Scouts to earn their Automotive Maintenance Merit Badge, and Girl Scouts to earn their Car Care Badge. We have an extensive all-day class with a majority of the time spent hands-on with Advanced Transmission Technicians working directly with a vehicle. Advanced Transmission also provides lunch. Modern automobiles are important to many aspects of modern life. Those Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts interested in pursuing a career in servicing automobiles must understand each principle, and how these principles interact to provide smooth, efficient performance. Owners of cars also benefit by understanding how their vehicles operate. This enables them to understand why certain periodic maintenance is required to keep their vehicles in tip-top shape. The following is an outline of things that Advanced Transmission technicians cover in the class.

  • General Maintenance, Safety, and Registration
  • Dashboard
  • Tires
  • Engine
  • Cooling System
  • Fuel System
  • Ignition and Electrical Systems
  • Drive Train
